Media Relations Manager

As the Media Relations Manager, you’ll be the primary interface between News Reach clients and media outlets. Your mission is to secure and amplify client media coverage, build strong relationships with journalists, and strengthen News Reach’s media footprint both regionally and nationally.

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Media Planning & Outreach

  • Develop and execute media outreach strategies tailored to client objectives.
  • Craft targeted media lists, press calendars, and pitched angles.

2. Relationships & Coverage

  • Proactively pitch stories, secure interviews, media placements, and feature coverage.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with reporters, editors, and media houses across print, digital, TV, radio, and online.

3. Content Development

  • Write and edit press releases, media advisories, Q&As, and media statements.
  • Customize pitches and angles for diverse media outlets and target audiences.

4. Media Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track media coverage, manage clipping reports, analyse PR outcomes, and prepare monthly analytics reports.

5. Crisis Communications

  • Collaborate on crisis‐response plans, press statements, and media management during sensitive or high‐stakes events.

6. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Partner with Account Managers, Content Writers, and Campaign Leads to align on messaging and deliverables.
  • Guide freelance or internal content teams as needed.

Key Requirements

  • 4–7 years of media relations, PR agency, or in‐house corporate communications experience.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage in top publications and broadcast channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Gujarati/Hindi is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‐building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency using media databases, tracking tools, and PR reporting platforms.

Desired Attributes
